Wigtorials Coming Soon

Everybody knows I love wigs. I change my look often. I like to keep my hair natural. My wigs allow me to achieve all the looks I want without having to apply excessive amounts of heat to my hair or chemicals. I love the freedom of changing my color, texture, and length daily if I choose; all while knowing my natural hair is healthy and free of damage.

I am old fashioned in the sense that I like to buy my wigs in-store.  That’s about to change though.  So many people buy wigs solely online and with good reason, cost.  Purchasing wigs online will result in average savings of 40% compared to what you would spend in a store.  That’s all I needed to know.

I’m preparing to make the switch to online wig shopping.  There is something that is bothering me though.  When it comes to wigs, I like to try before I buy.  Someone suggested that I pick out my wigs online; then try on the wigs in a store before placing my order.  That sounds like a good idea but it has been difficult.  The stores rarely have my selections in stock.  My next option is to watch video reviews.  That’s the next best thing to trying it on myself, right?

That brought me to my next problem.  I have a short attention span.  I am easily distracted.  Everything I want to know about a wig can be communicated in 60 seconds.  I do not want to sit through a ten minute video of someone stumbling over their words to get the answers I need.  I don’t want to be cross sold on other products either.  I just want to know if the wig is right for me.  Since I am not getting the answers I need I will just take a gamble and place an order.  Once the order arrives I will do my own video review.  It will be the kind of video review I would like to see.  It will be short and to the point.  We need short and sweet video reviews for people like me.  I accept the mission.

Countdown to Carefree Spring Fashion

It is March and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s time to rearrange my closet and get ready for rising temperatures. This year my focus is nudes and earthy tones. As we get closer to Summer I will slip in brights but for now my focus is on toned down muted looks.  I know what you’re thinking but these colors are far from boring.  I started to add colors like peach, pale pink,  and even beige to my collection.  As far as fit and fabric, I am loving light, loose, and airy.  There is always room for a form fitting piece on occasion.  However, those pieces will likely be layered with something light and airy.

Here are some of the staples I can build with;

1) Classic pencil skirt

2) Sheer blouse

3) Wide Leg Pant

4) Blazer

I love to mix and match different shades of the same color and layer.  It is hard to go wrong with that technique.  Oh, I almost forgot footwear.  Here are a few I am looking forward to sliding into this Spring.
